Bought the album just for this one track. Best 5 bucks ever spent.

Buy at The Joy Formidable official website webshop for this EP. There the digital songs are 320 Kbps. Here at iTunes are 256 Kbps Lets see. 1. Cradle - great song (rating 9/10) 2. Cradle (Fang Island remix) (rating 7/10) 3. Anemone - a gem where you can't get but this EP (rating 8/10) 4. Whirring (Live) - Amazing! How can you get sick of this song?! You can't! (rating 10/10) 5. It's Over - Roy Orbison cover song and TJF are great doing it (rating 8/10) So what is negative about this EP? There hardly is any. Don't read any of the other negative comments here. If you are a fan this is a buy most definitely.

I love this band and was telling all far and wide to check them out way before they became "it" and had any releases on itunes...I know yawn...but the point is this, I wish they would focus on NEW songs and a NEW record, I agree with the others stop giving me songs I have already heard. The cover is "ok" the remix of Cradle is "ok-ish at best" and Whirring is live so eh I like this band live but prefer the actual recording so this is just "ok" as well

This is one great band, but they need to move beyond Whirring -- although live it's incredible. Cradle's a great song; unfortunately the remix is a step back. It's tough to cover Roy Orbison of all people. But again, I wish only the best for these folks. Perhaps re-working some Sidecar Kisses? :)

Being that I'm such a big fan of TJF, I can't give this any less than 4 stars, but if it were almost any other band, it would recieve a lower rating. Based on the title, one would expect a continuation on The Big Roar, but instead, we were given a track that was already on A Balloon Called Moaning as well as The Big Roar, a so-so remix of the same song, one pretty great song that should have been on The Big Roar, a really good live performance of Whirring (but it's still a live track), and a Roy Orbison cover. It's not a bad EP, but it's just not what it could have and should have been. This band is great, but there are better releases than this. I was personally hoping for something that I hadn't heard before and they failed to deliver that. But at the end of it, it's still The Joy Formidable and they're still one of my favorite bands ever.
