This kinda reminds me of Slaughter of The Soul with slightly different vocals definitely high praise but it is in no way a ripoff. The Bjorlen twins are excellent as always and the vocalist is on par with ATG Tomas Lindberg and this almost feels like more ATG material under a new name. Anyway I love the Gothenburg Melodeath scene of the early/mid-90s (In Flames, At The Gates, Dark Tranquility, etc) And The Haunted along with Soilwork are great second-wave melodic death metal.
- Great album

An album that flows amazingly well, with brutal riffs and fantastic melodic grooves. Scandavian metal at its finest.
- Absolute Staple.

#1 Reign in Blood. #2 Made me do it. That is how good I feel this album to be. Marco kills it on this album. Musically, this is a masterpiece of song composition, tone, attitude, tempo, and aggressivity. I am equally a fan of Peter Dolving though, something about really crawling out of the gutter of addiction provides adequate fodder for good angry music and lyrics. Do acquire the discography of The Haunted, you will not be dissatisfied, you gotta love the all star cast of this band. At the Gates anyone? Be sure not to miss Jensen in his other band Witchery, that dude is the man. I have seen The Haunted live here in the bay area on every tour since this album and they NEVER disappoint. All Aces. Now if they could just get a tour together over here and bring Hatesphere with them. Hmmm
- One of the better metal bands I've come across in some time...

Being a huge punk and metal fan, I sometimes find myself getting pretty discouraged when trying to find new music. Last tattoo session I had, my artist threw this album on in the background and I dug it straight away. From the first guitar licks I knew I'd stumbled upon something that fit my taste. Being an At the Gates fan already, it made sense once I figured out the connection.
Slayer's musical influence is definatly present, and I find it refreshing to hear a bit of their sound taken in a new direction.

I find this album to be a peak, before The Haunted announced their reunion with Dolving. The subsequent albums weren't terrible, however they don't compare. Listening to this album, you can really hear At the Gates style riffing still surviving (that's why it sounds like Black Dahlia by the way...The Haunted has the guitarists from At the Gates, a distinct influence on the Black Dahlia Murder. Black Dahlia actually sounds like The Haunted, not the other way around). 30% American metalcore, 70% Swedish melodic death metal. Do check out At The Gates though... they are the better band.
- Buy this for the first two songs alone

The whole album is 100% Heavy Metal that I thought was dead. The songs blend to gether reminding me of a huge metal overture from the metal gods themselves. Slayerish pounding metal you will love.
- Made me do it? Wanted to do it...

The Haunted are better than Swiss cheese. This album is by far a great testiment to the metal of our time. The album has a dynamic list of songs to blow you to the back of your house. I would recommend buying it.
