    As a kid I recall this record on the turntable in the late 60s and early 70s at my house. I remember really loving it then, and how Malik fused middle eastern instruments and modes with modern jazz. I've never forgotten it, but its been out of print for a couple of generations. So thrilled to find it here! Odd time signatures setting up grooves for soulful melodies and solos. Progressive I'm sure for it's day, it hasn't dated a bit. Loved it then, love it now. Highly recommended.
