First off, I'm devastated that beautiful music like this is not blowing across our airways...I mean this project is AMAZING....it is definitely a play straight through project. Now, it's hard to choose a favorite track, but if I had too I'd say Praise Elevation! This is a wonderful wonderful album and I've also purchased the others she has on here...SO WORTH THE SPIRITUAL investment!

This album is five stars! I have been looking for more artists like you and Lisa McClendon who do praise and worship in a neo-soulful way. Thank you Ms Archie!! This is it! I must say that I am mad that I haven't discovered you before now. Much more continued success. You are blessed!

I found out about this cd, by accident, from my niece. She was visiting my home and brought her laptop with her. She had borrowed my connector to try to upload songs on her ipod and was having difficulties. So she called me to assist her and I noticed this artist's name and asked who she was. Well after listening to " What a Fellowship " I was hooked. I feel like God sent this music to me for a purpose. This is a beautiful, wonderful album that I believe everyone would benefit from listening to. I just hope that Ms. Archie receives the recognition she deserves for creating something so relevant, socially and religiously. I will tell everybody I know about her talents.

Okay, I've had this album for about a year now and I can honestly say that I listen to it everyday. You know you have a good cd when you can listen to it without skipping a track. No scratch that, this isn't just good its PHENOMENAL! I love AD! I so excited that she's on itunes! They need to put Warm Winter on here too!

Adrianne Archie's album is a breath of fresh air in a somewhat stale genre. The album is filled with great, expressive music. It might be classified as neo-soul music, but I think that is an unfair generalization. Archie makes worship music with a distinct urban flair with live instrumentation, and amazing vocals. The small criticism I have of the album is the repetitive choruses and verses. It seems like some of the songs should have been fleshed out a bit more with more lyrical content, but this is common of debut releases. That being said, this album still beats most of the music out there because of Ms. Archie's commitment to proclaiming the Gospel in a unique way. My top tracks: Jesus U Reign, What a Fellowship, and Who Jesus Is.

I wish there was a rating higher than five stars. This work definitely merits it. My mother sent me the link to this album after having been told about it from my stepdad who learned of it from a friend. I listened to the link and was FLOORED. I immediately purchased the cd. The music was unbelievable—not of this current ilk—canned beats and repetitive rhythms—THIS was music. Her voice—astounding—clear, high, low, just…wonderful. The lyrics—wait a minute—she’s singing about Jesus—MY Jesus, my Wonderful Counselor, My Prince of Peace—THAT Jesus!! All of these components combined to make the perfect album for me. And it’s been in my cd changer for months now—at least four—and I don’t foresee me taking it out anytime soon. I went through some challenging times these past couple months, and the song “AINGONLETCHUGO” is the perfect complement to what we are taught to do as Christians—having done all to stand—and to not let go of God’s hand. My favorite verse in this song is “I am going to hold to You until you bless my soul.” That is just the gospel truth. This cd will minister to you. Over and over again. This is not just music. This is a ministry. Adrianne, my dear, dear Soror, surely the anointing of God is in action in your life. Thank you for not sitting on your gift. Because you didn't, I have been blessed. You have big, big work to do for Him, and you’ve only just begun!

I saw her in NAShville last year for GMA week and she blew us out the water after her ministry went forth. Her flow of Soul and Christian is so brand new that a lot of people will second guess this CD.. please don't second guess. Get it, it will bless you tremendously. Her lyrics are so fresh and real that a new Creature in Christ can catch on quickly. Its all about kingdom building and Adrianne has done her part. Check out her website too. She is the new face of Gospel/christian/soul.... ADRIANNE ARCHIE. RAISE UP LOUISVILLE!!!!!!

This was the first time that I heard a gospel record that had a neo-soul feel to it. Although this cross genres, the message is not lost in the music. "Who is Jesus" makes me think about the times when I had to depend on Jesus even when I could not see my outcome. What an amazing message this record puts out!?! I was just flipping through the recommended albums on iTunes and I saw this record. I was highly surprised at what I heard. Adrianne should be a superstar! Along with the message, the music that accompanies it flows like milk and honey. I really admire artist who have purpose behind their music, and this album alludes to that. Thank you Adrianne for letting God speak through you to the rest of the world.

From the opening notes of "He That Hath an Ear, Let Him Hear" it is evident that Adriannie Archie is a different kind of Gospel artist. "HTHANELHH" is truly a black music album, being that its' subject matter is that cornerstone of the black community, and its' sound is as soulful as pot of Big Momma's greens. Hailing from Louisville, KY, Archie's sound is similar to Donny Hathaway in that you have a church voice over electric pianos and fat bass lines. "Always On Time" is the story of health problems Archie experienced prior to recording "HTHANELHH". On "Used to Do", Archie uses the vechile of trip-hop to give a testimony on the changing power of Christ. Other standout tracks include "Aingonlechgo", "Way Home", and "Saints Go Marchin In". The highlight of the album is the finale, "Why Not Take A Chance". At first listen, it might just sound like an invitation to carnal love, but with close inspection it is much more than that. Accompianied by her beautiful acoustic guitar playing, Archie sings: "He is the opitome of excellency. And he's the sole of source of wisdom in me." This album is one of the most important gospel records in the last ten years, along with "God's Property from Kirk Franklin's Nu Nation" and Fred Hammond's "Spirit of David". This is the anwser for those looking for an alternative to the new-age spirituality of most of today's Neo-Soul. An instant classic. Brent M. Barnett, Poet and Author
