I discovered Friendly Fires in the fall of 2012 and downloaded Pala after hearing a few songs off their first album.
Impressions?
Where have they been all my life! Friendly Fires is a fantastic group and Pala is my favorite album! I can listen to this album from start to finish everyday; and I do!

I recently caught them on Now w/ Jools Holland (was an older episode), and liked what I heard...glad I followed up, this is solid, all songs are very good, great vibe. I agree w/ some of the reviewers on here w/ the Duran Duran feel...but this is very danceable, light sounding, yes great summer soundtrack. Love the songs Blue Cassette and Hurting. Can't wait to hear more and maybe see them in the states sometime!

There is such an energy that lifts my spirits in this album. I could be having the worst day and this will literally make me want to dance around. I like that it is a mix of electro and pop but brings in amazing drum beats and vocals. A very unique and fresh sound.

I've loved a couple of their songs, but wow. After giving Pala a chance, I am left highly impressed. I love their variety of beats and tropicality.(hehe) you guys really impressed me, I love this album so much, I came on iTunes JUST so I could write a review. I'm actually gonna go buy the cd now. Keep it up guys!

I discovered Friendly Fires back in August and I've loved them ever since. Especially with this album, they really nailed it with this one. They're upbeat songs, but they're relaxing at the same time. My favorite song has to be Show Me Lights. Definitely worth buying!
