Damn Handsome and the Birthday Suits have created an album that draws you in with quirky lyrics and driving rhythms, but there is more to this band than just "in-your-face" attitude. Songs lampoon our need for fame and worship of celebrities (Pink Flamingoes) and our blind faith in elected officials (Tooth Decay). The songs are entertaining and well-crafted, but on deeper examination, they push us to examine our preconceptions and our society as a whole.
All in all, a very solid album and well worth the purchase.
