This a refreshing rendition of A Christmas Carol. The orchestrations are stunning and the performances are heartfelt. This will immediately the redefine the traditional interpretation of this story.........and not a moment too soon! I usually shy away from this stuff but it's like listening to the soundtrack from a major movie. Kudus to these guys, they nailed it!

Dicken's story has always been my favorite Christmas tale--I know every incarnation-- and this version really blew me away! Merwin Ford is now one of my top three Scrooges of all time, and the narrator had me on the edge of my seat. Wow! Listening to this one will definitely become a new holiday tradition at my house. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, rather than 5 is that what I really want is to see and hear it performed live, with an orchestra. I'm doing a search to see where it's being done. Can't wait!

This is so good! I’ve listened to it over and over because everything about it is amazing! The narration, the vocals.... everything. I am going to purchase a few hard copies to give as Christmas presents. I really cannot say enough about this! The little snippets you hear on the previews do not do it justice.

Wow, what an accomplishment! Symphonies all over the world should add this to their holiday repertoires. The story is true to Dickens, and the wonderful scoring perfectly punctuates and supports a magnificent cast of Broadway voices. This is a must for young and old alike. What talent!

A Christmas Carol - The Concert is a fresh new approach to an eternal classic. The essential narrator, a great choir, a talented cast of characters and the symphony orchestra all bring new life to this wonderful holiday tradition. It would be a great gift for any member of the family!
