Charming, disarming and sometimes alarming, Cindy Lee Berryhill's first album is, in my most humble opinion, a masterpiece. Folky - sorta, rockin' - kinda, engaging - thoroughly.
It's got some late 80's angst, some sweet rebellion, and a lot of heart and soul. Emotive, raw and melodic, it's unlike anything I'd heard back then, and holds up today. She deals with a lot of tough subjects, and keeps her sense of humor. It's often autobiographical, and thus, by the time you've finished listening, you almost sorta feel like you know her. You totally want to be a part of the scene.
