Reviews

  • Kind of a letdown

Their original material is better than the songs they're covering. It is a strange mix of styles that doesn't flow very well as a whole album. I miss the ultra-sticky hooks and dynamics that were in their previous albums.
  • Great album in other's words

Nada Surf just keeps on churning out great records. Yes, these are all cover songs, but Nada Surf turns them into their own. I definitely recommend this CD.
  • I think a lot of these are cover songs

i know that they are covering Depeche Mode with "Enjoy the Silence" and Spoon with "The Agony of Laffitte" and probably some others that I dont know of. Im pretty sure that electrocution is original but I would be more impressed if Nada Surf had a 100% original album.

Don't be put-off because it is a 'covers' album...Nada Surf knows their stuff. From Kate Bush to Depeche Mode to Spoon to songs you've probably never heard before - this album is mesmerizing, poignant, fun and well, just plain brilliant. Probably three of the most talented guys around. Brilliant Indeed!

Just another solid album. Surprised these guys do not get more recognition for their work. Way to go!!
