Great album from this band. Under rated band ever!! Y&T has always held a special place in my heart my first loves favorite band (Mike Dahlfues) use to play their tapes up and down the turnpike of Long Island. I grew to love this band. I bought everyone of these tracks and played them loud and proud...this is a great rock album !!!! \m/
  • Good, but not Y&T from yesteryear

I give the band credit for replicating a good portion of the classic Y&T sound and energy, but several songs fall short. Case in point is Gonna Go Blind. I'm a long time headbanger, but the ridiculously juvenile lyrics ("...play with youself boy, you can do it all day...") completely ruin the song. That being said, many singers' voices change over time (i.e. Geoff Tate from Queensryche), but Dave Meniketti still belts it out like he did 20 years ago. And Phil Kennemore (RIP) shreds the bass like nobody's business. I bought the album, but not all of the songs will actually make their way to my iDevices. And for the record, who writes the stupid album reviews? IMO, the word "aforementioned" doesn't belong in a heavy metal album review..let alone twice!

I'm sorry, I love my old eighties metal as much as the next kid from San Jose, but this, no this is not the Y&T of my youth. This isn't the same band that spent many nights hearing at the Catayst. That band had an energy and an in-your-face party additude that I'm not hearing from this release. Maybe they still got it live but this studio release is that same old flat "reunion" release I've heard before.

But you have left us another great set of songs to listen and remember you and your kind heart and masterful mind. I have been a long time friend since we met years ago in a little town outside of Monterey called Salinas! You all rocked the show and were the KINGS of our great state of California. I wish I could have seen you all more and there was never a break in the action. I have the library of work and I am grateful for all that you have left us. Dave as always my friend, you are the bomb, and I am never ever let down by your chops! You are the man and thanks for all that you have given us!!!! I can not express in words your loss of a longtime friend, colleague and brother. My deepest heartfelt condolences to you and your family. BUY THIS ALBUM! It is like they never stopped and it is a must have for any Y&T fan. 15 KILLER songs for a song of a price, you can't beat it and you will be wondering why the long layoff. Such a great moving album that will have you driving with the top of the car down, and loving every minute of it. Gonna Go Blind is so freaking funny! Thanks Dave & Phil for a great album! Shred

I didn't know this was out. Since I have almost all the Y&T albums, you'd think iTunes would say, "Hey.. look at this...". Not so much. So I was REALLY happy when I saw it and bought it just because I'm a huge fan. When a lot of time passes between albums, you know there's a good chance that their age will show. Not the case here! They are unbelievable. I don't know how many times I just started smiling as I listened. It is so much better than I even hoped for. Back in 80-something, I walked from Modesto, CA to Turlock (and back) to see them play some bar. (Couldn't get a ride). It was worth every step. Dave, if you guys come to Charleston, SC.. I'll so be there! Y&T (still) Rocks!

Prayers out to Phil. Beat the cancer my man. You'll always be bending those bass strings in heaven, but better later than sooner for that gig. This album deserves all the push it can get. Y&T fans unite, spread the word and get those ducets flowing on behalf of these guys. See you at Cache Creek 12/11/10. Power to the Salinas CA FANS!!!! Best Ever. Jimmy, Kenny, Denny, and Steve.

Good job Y&T, 13 years has been a long time. This New sound for Y&T hasn't missed a beat to stay up with the new time's of good classic rock. All of the songs on this new album are going to be the hottest thing this summer.

Ok, this is one of the truest hard rock/metal albums I have heard in years! Hats off to the boys in Y&T for not being afraid of returning to their roots and making a solid album. Definately a highlight from the past few years of hard rock/metal resurgents! Thanks guys!

My favorite Y&T album of all time is still Contagious and this album doesn't capture that same distinct sound. But comparing album to album does not do justice to an artist's current work. This is one of those cases. Y&T has put together another great sound with a touch of old.
