    The title should be self-explanatory.

If you are one like me who appreciates all sorts of music but tends to gravitate to older sounds I am sure Ariel's antics are for you. This album especially speaks to those who love to break out their vinyl. I really appreciate the stepped up production which hi-lights the amazing talents of the band. I love how each song has its own gleam while intermingling familiar sounds from bygone eras. Please do not get me wrong, this is not plagiarism by any means. To me, it speaks volumes of appreciation brought forth through a very talented vessel. This album makes me dance, reminisce, and laugh. It is one of the best I have heard in a while. I hope you enjoy it too! Taking a quick second to remark on this whole lo-fi quandary: In todays over-produced musical mess simple, raw sounds are welcome to my ear. Keep it real!

this is actually a pretty good album, but when they were on jimmy fallon they were TERRIBLE. Me and my mom kept laughing and making fun of them . We taped it on our tv because it was the worst band we have EVER heard. then i found this album on here, and its actually pretty good?! i would give it 5 stars if i just didnt hear them sing on Jimmy Fallon. lol
  • Disjointed ... in a good way

The first track sounds like Tuxedomoon. The second track sounds like Beach Boys. The third track sounds like The Cars. The fourth track sounds like New Order ... if Ian Curtis had still been the singer. The fifth track sounds like U2. The sixth track sound like Metronomy. The seventh track sounds like some weird collaboration of Mettalica, George Harrison, and The Police. The eighth track sound like Dukes of the Stratosphere. The ninth track sounds like OMD's mainstream-y stuff. The tenth track sounds like the theme song to a talk show. The eleventh track sounds like Joy Division was a little less minimalistic. The twelth track sounds like Bauhaus. The bonus track sounds like The Smiths. And yet it kinda works.

I never wanted to give this band a chance because they have one of the dumbest sounding names I have ever heard. But I'll be damned if this isn't one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. I'll be removing the egg from my face now.

After all the reviews and positive words ive heard about this record I really should by all means adore it. It supposedly has all of the elements that I love about music. But it just didn't do anything for me. I was really bored halfway through and forced myself to listen to the rest. Maybe because I don't get high. But I listen to a lot of stoner rock sober that I adore. It was just really meandering and pointless. I don't see the thrill. Sorry :( This is what happens when I pay for music first then buy if it if I dig it. 10 bucks wasted.
