Finally, something I can invest a little emotion in musically. I listen to this and don't feel like I've listened to assembly line crap. It sounds like some people had things to say and it really mattered to put it down honestly and sincerely. Makes you feel like you just got know a total stranger...

these are boring songs! The magic that was the "chicks" is gone!

I liked the Dixie Chicks before Natalie and the sisters did a great job with this. Someone should release their old music too.
  • Love it.

I can't tell you how happy I was to know these girls are still alive! I was getting worried for a few years there. of course all three of them should unite again but until Natalie feels ready, I can totally live with this! Love Love Love it! buy it! Chicks for President 2012!!

It is not the Dixie Chicks. It is wonderfully different. Emily's voice is smooth and clear. Their instrumentation is awesome. Get this album.

I have to admit I am disappointed. They just don't sound very lively. But for those who enjoy a softer sound it would be good.

The songs are well written, but they miss Natalie's spark to really give them life. Emily and Martie are good singers, not great ones. Neither has the flair or brightness in her voice to capture the same emotional range that Natalie can. The musical style is somewhat different from the DIxie Chicks, and that's great. One thing I especially liked about Taking the Long Way (the last Dixie Chicks album) was that it reached out in different directions. If not Natalie, they need someone who has some fire. They need a lead singer.

I just had to purchase this album after listening to their hit song "The Coast." This song speaks "ME!" And of course I have always been a follower of the artistic talents of the Dixie Chicks. I fell in love with many of the other wonderful songs on this album. "Delight" is wonderful! "See you in the Spring" ahh, so sweet. "Ain't No Son" ooh, so deep, but good. I love those deep meaningful songs that have a great beat to it, that make you want to punch the dashboard of the car while you are singing! "It Didn't Make A Sound" and "Fear of Wasted Time" are fabulous too! Those are my favorites! Might as well order the whole thing!!! Great album!

Just because Sheryl Crowe isn't actively putting out new music, doesn't mean you can pretend you're her.
  • A pleasant surprise

This album is really good. The songs tell a story and are all really well done. It's hard to get a couple out of your head. The talent of all of the musicians comes through on this album. Worth the money - no question about it.
