I LOVE this compilation, I REALLY do! I'm using most of this album on my birth playlist for when my son gets here in June! My ONLY issue is that this was originally released in April of 2010 and it had a beautiful version of Edelweiss preformed by Laura Gibson and now, it's disappeared! Even off of my iPhone that I bought it from!
Not cool apple, not cool.

a compilation truly connected by each song's gracefully relevant message to the listener, who in this case is likely parents soothing their little ones.
- Good for kids, great for adults!

I have to say I am always on the look out for something cool to listen to with my kids because I have no patience for most of the kiddie crap out there. Thank you so much for this album because my husband & I can appreciate and enjoy it, but it still grabs our kids' attention, too. I won't name names, but there is one company that keeps putting out lame albums of kid-friendly/safe adult songs and they are AWFUL! Total cheesy crap. I much prefer to hear adults singing "kid-icized" versions of GOOD music. That other stuff is just annoying and grating on the ears - so again THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this album!!
- My kids & I all love this!

I found this album when I was searching for songs to put on a mix for my newborn daughter. My son had his own sleepy-time mix so I wanted to make one for my 2nd. First I found the "Music for Cook Kids" iMix which has some of the songs from this album (Dream a Little Dream, Rainbow Connection, etc). That then led me to this album. I previewed a few tracks and decided to get the whole thing. So glad I did! As a whole, I absolutely love this album. I do like some of the songs better than others, but we never skip past any of them. My personal favorites are Have You Forgotten, Pure Imagination (because I love Charlie & the Choc Factory) and Can't Get It Out of My Head.
I did end up finishing my mix for my daughter, but find that more often than not, this one ends up playing at naptime. She literally coos and calms right down when it comes on! And my son liked it so much that I burned a copy for his room, too.
The short of it is, I love this and I think you will, too! And if you have kids, even better!
- Great for kids AND parents!

What a delightful album! The tunes are catching, melodic and well-done. My kids love it (and I do, too!). They are 7 and 9 and autistic and VERY picky when it comes to music, since some of it seems like "noise" to them. Not this album! The songs they picked for this album suit each other. It's a good collection.
- Love It!

As usual American Laundromat puts together a thoughtful and beautiful compilation for a very worthy cause. All proceeds from this wonderful album are donated to The Valerie Fund, a non-profit organization that provides health care for children with cancer and blood disorders. American Laundromat has assembled an impressive list of indie artists to cover lullabies and popular tunes reimagined as lullabies. My favorite tracks are the ones I wouldn't have expected to be on a compilation like this; Telekinesis covering ELO's "Can't Get It Out Of My Head", "Jenny Owen Youngs covering Red House Painter's "Have You Forgotten", and Say Hi covering The Violent Femmes "Kiss Off". I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Stars covering The Smiths "Asleep", Tanya Donelly crooning "Moon River" from Breakfast At Tiffanys, and Trespassers William doing "The Rainbow Connection". Sing Me To Sleep is a smart, sophisticated, and really fun album for all ages. That's no easy task... Congratulations!!!

I really love this comp. I've got a 3 year old daughter and 6 year old son and both are digging it as well. My baby girl was asleep by the third song and when she woke up she asked for track 1 again. The cd has become a quick favorite. I'm not a fan of kids music that much and what drew me to this was the label, American Laundromat, and they did it with style and a great laid back vibe that makes this a good listen for just about anyone. You should acquire it.--Nick in STL

Sing Me to Sleep is a beautiful, clever, out of the ordinary lullaby comp: quiet without the boring, sweet without the cringe, and musically interesting enough to keep a parent’s brain amused while lulling a little one to sleep. A certified Greasy Kid Stuff HIT! - Belinda & Hova, Greasy Kid Stuff
- Exceptional Album for Adults Too!!!

I've never posted a review on iTunes before but this album is fantastic and I had to share my enthusiasm. First off, I do not have children. I'm a huge Tanya Donelly fan so initially I was only going to buy "Moon River". But after previewing a few songs I decided to buy "Cloudbusting", "Have You Forgotten", "Kiss Off", and "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" too. I've been listening all week and finally decided I must complete the album. I'm glad I did. "Little Boxes", "Pure Imagination", and "Inchworm" have become new favorites. "You And Your Sister", "North Wind" and "Asleep" are absolutely beautiful. The album as a whole works on every level. I cannot recommend it enough. I visited the labels website and all proceeds go to a charity that provides health care for children with cancer. Knowing this makes me appreciate the album even more. I just ordered a few copies to give as gifts for my sisters, and some friends who have children. Buy this album -- you won't regret it.
