  • Challengers indeed kill the surf classics...

I am a surf music fan and have just about every album ITunes offers plus much more. My two stars goes to the great classic surf songs included in this album; all 30 songs are some of the greatest surf songs out there. However, this band does a terrible job in recreation of all these surf music classics, their playing has full of errors or modifications that does not make sense. Why not get the great originals rather then settle in these uninspired versions. Pipeline - Chantays, Wedge - Dick Dale, Walk, Don;t Run - Ventures, Rebel Rouser - Duane Eddy, Telstar- Tornadoes . This is a great collection of all classic surf music. But this band is flat and does not do justice to the originals. Some remakes are great, like the acoustic versions by Duotones, but not these...

without a doubt some of the worst surf rock music i've ever heard. try the "Aqua Velvets" or the "MelTones" for some decent surf music. these guys are kind of brady bunch background music, in a bad way.
