More Rockin' Intergalactic Anthems From the Warped Ones

You ever sat wondering about whether or not to buy a particular cd because you're just not quite sure if you like it enough to spend your hard earned ducats on? Or tried to determine from the much too brief online song samples if you like it at all - or the band in general? Or found that when you DID buy a cd it was a disappointment, and was filled with way too many boring, whiny, trying-to-be-artsy slow and droning tracks that played like the perfect soundtrack to a self-indulgent suicide instead of a rocking disc? Yeah...me too. Those are just not experiences that I have to contend with when Warp 11 releases a new disc however - I can always simply trust that it's gonna be good. I Don't Want to Go to Heaven... is a butt-kicking intergalactic stew of wildly eclectic tracks and naughty anthems, and yet another example of why Warp 11 deserves a main stream reputation as something more than merely a theme band. The truth is, is that Warp 11's output on the whole is way more rocking, singable fun than the vast majority of stuff that gets mainstream airplay. Star Trek fan or not, you can't help but head bang and drive with the hammer down while blaring "I Am Not Herbert" and "I Make It So," or shoot an evil grin to the hot chick in the car next to you while Kiki Stockhammer belts out "Baby Take Me to Your Nuclear Wessel." If you want a fun, seriously rocking, riff-laden cd that's perfect to throw on during drive time, and one that also has the kind of stylistic variety and musical balls that most other over-hyped bands can't even come close to, then pick up this disc and kick out the jams. Rock on!
