In my opinion this is the best Christmas s as album ever. So worshipful. It has helped me to experience the true meaning of Christmas in a more meaningful way. The words to the songs have come alive in my heart. Thank you, Smitty!

This is still a masterpiece ever since Michael W Smith released this in 1989. The songs never get old. One of my all time favorites.

Michael W. Smith does Christmas music better than anyone, and this is his best. I love his use of choirs (especially a boy choir). My favorite Christmas song of all time is All is Well, in its picturing that the arrival of the Saviour was going to set everything right. His Anthem for Christmas lyrics (by Gloria Gaither) are also beautifully depictive: β€œAll creation had a language, words to say what must be said; all day long the heavens whispered, signing words in scarlet red.” Credit also belongs to the other lyricists, particularly Wayne Kirkpatrick, who wrote the lyrics for All is Well. This is an iconic album; one of the few Christmas albums I play all year long.

I listening to this repeatedly from Thanksgiving to Christmas... beautiful, classic praise. NOT the overplayed junk they play on the radio!

The orchestration, the celestial voices of the Boy's Choir, and the beautiful composing and arranging combined with holy words and themes make this a divine experience for the ears and soul at Christmastime. It has remained a timeless favorite.

This album continues to be timeless. I only wish is that it would be remastered.

I'll admit it's part bias because I've had this album since it was a cassette when it came out, but those opening chords stir emotions of the coming season like no other beginning strains can. The sacredness of the sound throughout, weaving traditional carols with new songs that are already deemed classics sets a tone in our home every year that points to how holy (other) the season is to those who believe in the incarnation of God. A lot of words that mean: I Love This Record.

This is an awesome Christmas CD that makes you feel you are at a choral festival at midnight on Christmas Eve. The music is beautiful and the lyrics are awesome. "No Eye has Seen" , a duet with Amy Grant, always brings a tear to my eye because I think of my late Grandparents with the lyric about the immortal voices singing praises, "All is Well" starts out with a boy soprano and leads into a choir singing a great song. And of course the big song on the CD is "Gloria" a very up tempo version of "Angels we Have Heard on High". This is a great version of the traditional carol.
