I totally forget what year it was I saw the Jackets with Marc Russo on the sax and the next to the last number was Imperial Strut. Lawson had been toweling himself off with a towel around his neck, and then starts a drum solo with said towel. This disc was the beginning of the empire of definitive funk/jazz/grooves that made the Yellowjackets perhaps the greatest and longest lasting fusion group of all time. Haslip and Ferrante are the groove makers for over 25 years and this recording is the roots of down home funk, jackets style. Buy it then run out and get samurai samba. You will not be disappointed.

I can't state it enough--INCREDIBLY overlooked and underrated album!!! The fact the I'M the first person to review it should tell you that!!!
I'm relatively new to the whole Jazz/Fusion thing, but I was blown away by this album. Furthermore, I can't believe "Rush Hour" has practically no 'popularity'--its my absolute fav!!! I could totally see Dream Theater covering it.
If you're a fan of ANY kind of music you owe it to yourself to check out this album!
