This is the perfect metal show caught on tape, praising Christ Jesus! I love this album! I really, really needed this!

There are many reasons to listen 7 Weeks. First, it's a treat to hear Sing Along Song with cymbals (unlike the gated version on THWTD) with Michael and Oz sharing lead vocals. Then there are the sweet (pun intended) guitar harmonies on Calling On You. It's also fun to listen to Stryper with such a raw guitar sound; I love the polished sound of their studio albums, but it's nice to hear them sounding so unrestrained. For fans of Oz and Michael's guitar solos, it's interesting to hear the way they are played close to the original version, but with a few new twists and inflections. Their dual-guitar harmonies are all spot-on and are mixed perfectly so that each guitar line can be heard clearly. One of my favorite moments on the whole record is at the end of Calling On You, where the audience is singing along with the chorus - it makes me think of the return of Christ, with all of the faithful over the millennia singing to Him. I could say so much more about this wonderful recording... if you buy it, get yourself some good headphones and listen to it that way.
