Mostly good ol' Pgroove. Easily one of my most favorite bands, as their songwriting and composition is always great. Although I did find this CD different from the others in the vocal songs, the jams still ringed the oldschool Pgroove vibe. No Decorations, Under Lock and Key, Downside, and Lost Connection are my personal favorites with lyrics. Overall, this CD is great-but a move away from the norm. I could guarantee as soon as they begin playing this stuff live, however, it'll evolve into the usual amazing sound. Nothing better to listen to chillin with good friends in the summer.

These guys have shown that they have the subsance They are obviously loving their own music and so am I. You have to love that. At least once. For fans this album may seem weak but listen closely and you will find the same incredible frame work however for some reason they did not add all of the layers with effects ( ex. delayed effect on guitars and keyboards) that they usually stack on. They left it raw and perhaps a little remixing would make everyone happy but I hear perfection in the albums momentum.

Perpetual Groove is hands down the most acoustically pleasing band of all time. Prepare to have your eardrums tickled.

I've got all their albums, and have seen them many times. I loved Sweet Oblivious Antidote and All this Everythin. However, I wasnt a big fan of their last album, Live Love Die, so I stoped listening thinking that the P Groove I used to know was gone. This was worstened when their and my home theater in Athens, GA, the Georgia Theater burned down. A few days ago, after a several year break from their music, I gave them a second shot. I listened to All this Everything and fell in love all over again. Today, iTunes Genius recomended Heal, so I had to checked it out. This is a more mature P Groove fore sure. I've listened to the 1st few songs, and like them all alot. The composition has matured as well as their songwriting, while still staying true to their sound. I feel a lot of the spirit in All this Everything in this album. I love iTunes Genius and P Groove! Welcome Back!!

hate to say it but i think this album is a step back from live love die, and my least favorite pgroove so far. if youre new to pgroove i suggest buying sweet oblivious anecdote and then live love die before this one.

The first studio album with new keyboardist John Hruby couldnt come at a better time. This album really illustrates Pgroove's song writing and lyrical abilities. Not many "jam bands" have the ability to write such emotionally charged songs. You can tell that the band put their heart and soul into each song. No Decorations is a great opener for the album and is often used to open shows. A Day the Way showcases Hruby's abilities as well as Brocks vocals. Honey Cut is a diverse instrumental in which Brock Butler uses the mandolin. 40 Roses is the most radio friendly tune and John Hruby takes lead vocals on this track. Up Again builds up nicely to a sick jam in the end. Too Close to the Sun is my favorite track on the album. And lastly Lost Connection is a deep and emotional brilliant lyrical tune. Personally I think that Albert Suttle (drummer) and Adam Perry (Bassist) consistently are on point throughout the entire album. Although this album is a departure from previous albums I think that with time this might be considered the turning point for this band as far as studio albums go. In the meantime catch a Pgroove live show and you wont be dissapointed.

I go this cd in the mail, and i listened to it 4 times that day. I have their other three cds and a few of their concerts, and i have to say, that this is a serious contendor for the best pgroove album. You can really tell they've matured as a band (especially in songs like Honey Cut and 40 Roses) and really put a lot of effort into this. The only fault most fans will find is the length of the cd. Its only nine songs and not but 54 minutes. But you have to realize that Perpetual Groove is a live band. At this stage in the bands career, they dont need that many more songs to have a diverse set list for their concerts. If you can look past the length, you'll greatly enjoy this cd and every single song on it, wether your a fan or somebody just getting into them.
