I saw them when they toured with my favorite artist, Brett Dennen, and had no idea who they were... Man, are they absolutely unbelievably amazing!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.. and if you ever have a chance to see them live, highly recommend!

I saw these guys live in San Francisco last night. What an incredible show!!!! They are definitely not to be missed if this tour passes through your area. I discovered Ben Sollee on NPR's All Songs Considered web site just a few weeks ago and can't sttop listening to him. His music is infectious. He's got it all, great voice, great playing, and a lot to say. I have to to check out Daniel Martin Moore"s solo album. He was great in concert. I highly recommend 'Dear Companion' as well as Ben's 'Learning to Bend'. I sure look forward to more music from these guys.

I saw Ben Sollee in the basement of blueberry hill in Saint Louis. It was fantastic. Ben Sollee really nailed it. Daniel Martin Moore was great too! Unfortunatley there were so many drunk loud mouths that I could hardly hear him. I was a little tipsy too, but I shut my mouth when he played. I think I like the first record best though. I will have to give this one a chance. If you don't have either and are going to buy only one, buy learning to bend.

I know, have met, and have talked to Ben Sollee. He's from Louisville, Kentucky which is where I dance. He came to the Louisville Ballet School (my dance school) to play for one of my teacher's, Mikelle Bruzina, choreography. I was like 2 feet away from him! Plus my jazz teacher, Elena Fillmore, and my modern teacer, Tamara Begley, both play his songs constantly for us to dance to! He is AMAZING!!
- They did it again!

Both Ben Sollee and Daniel Martin Moore have produced another incredible piece of work! Ben's raw vocals somehow blend beautifully with Daniel's rich chords. This is a wonderful album! Standouts (in my opinion) include "Flyrock Blues", "Sweet Marie", and my new favorite "Try". I don't know how these artists are consistently fantastic, but I am very thankful that they are!

Through my hectic day, it's always great to know I can turn my day around just by listening to Ben Sollee. His music is inspiring, uplifting, relaxing, and fun! Everytime I hear "Panning for Gold" from Learning to Bend I want to cry it's so amazing. Being a cellist myself, I highly enjoy the great things he does with an amazing instrument. Keep it up Ben! I can't wait to hear Dear Companion!
