Elder

Elder is a knockout. I find Sad Red's music highly original, sophisticated, and suprisingly complex. The more I listen to these songs, the more I appreciate their ability to haunt. They stick with you. I especially enjoyed being caught off guard, expecting the music to go one place, only to hear it go another. The vocals go right to the heart with unconventional phrasing that is wonderfully sensitive and immediate. The band's musical choices are always interesting and I emphatically recommend this CD. Sad Red's already developed an unmistakable sound.
