Although I wasn't wowed by this when it came out (quite unlike my reaction to the 1st album), my iTunes recently jumped to it from something completely unrelated (skipping "All In It") and, while listening, I thought "This sounds familiar.... Is it Radiohead?" No, British Sea Power! I've listened four more times since, and it gains in power with each listening.

I had never heard of British Sea Power until about a month ago when someone had the track "No Lucifer" on their playlist. I immediately checked out this album and it was love at first listen. Gritty yet melodic, Do You Like Rock Music? is an emotional journey from beginning to end. Inspired by the modern rock sound of the 90's with a pinch of the 80's pop sound stirred in, this album grabs you, pulls you close and doesn't let go. If you are looking for a great album that could cure your desire for some nice indie rock, then check this album out. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
