Auto Reverse or Rewind

Ashley Mendel is truly the most talented musician I have ever known. He plays bass, guitar, drums, bongos, sings, writes, produces, etc etc. He is extremely gifted and I know he his music will speak volumes to people of all walks of life. I am so proud and happy that he has finally put out an album so all his fans can immerse themselves in his art as often as we'd like!

In a generation where music is failing and artists will just throw out any garbage they can come up with. This album indeed shines through beyond all else. I definitely would recommend this album to anyone that can hear a tune, and to those who appreciate thoughtful , meaningful music. KUDOS, Ashley....kudos

This album has some tunes on it that totally rock my being. I've seen this guy perform in a couple of spots around LA, and I gotta say.... The talent overwhelms me. He plays multiple instruments, sings frikkin' awesome-ly, is a rad performer, and writes brilliant songs (some of which are super heavy, but super heartbreaking). I hear bits of some of my fave bands of all time buried deep in the whole that is "Ashley Mendel".... Failure, Incubus, Smashing Pumpkins, Silversun Pickups, Band of Horses... the list goes on... but Ashley has captured that "one of a kind" thing. I'm lovin' the combo of heavy guitars that can melt your face off joined with a dude that can actually sing. This sweet union comes along rarely, in my opinion. Make more records! LOVE "Let Me Know" and "Autoreverse" the best!

Forward thinking musically. Sophisticated. The thinking man's new rock masterpiece. Harmony and metal, mixed with love songs impregnated with dense Chords. Strings. We brings, Ashley Mendel? Rhythm is obviously his life. And life is no longer arhythmic. Someone hipped me to this guy once, after they saw his show at Molly Malones. With dudes from Incubus playing in his back up band no less. If that isn't a nice resume, I don't know what life is about anymore. So I checked out his myspace page, and waited for this record that has been laying in wait for a fortnight plus two years. Something tells me that anyone with half a mokey brain will appreciate this substantial offering. Did I mention he plays all of the instruments, and produced it too. Come on! I suppose a tour will be on the horizon? Come see us in the heartland herr Mendel. Hey that's a great name for a German glam band. HERR METAL. Dibs. Copyright. This record is so potent, if you stand too close to the speakers, you might get pregnancy pants.
