  • A Real Feel Experince

The background noise didn't bother me. I've been at live performances and this album brought back those wonderful memories. Besides, this choir has the energy that the Messiah Himself deserves and that Handel wrote into his music to honor The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Close your eyes and you're there praising Him with the choir...enjoy!

Background noise isn't the problem here. This is a poor recording. I'm sure the choir and orchestra performed well but I literally can barely hear them with my volume at max! This performance also appears to be lacking all the solo performances which in my opinion are the most dramatic pieces of Messiah.

Very good album as you'd expect, but it is a live recording which unfortunately includes numerous distracting coughs from the audience, as well as background noises such as risers/chairs creaking/shuffling, etc. If it was a few distractions it wouldn't be a big deal, but unfortunately it really is enough to detract from the experience.
