Reviews

  • The Other Boot & The Third Leg

    By ianphlegm
This set has 25 of the 31 tracks that were available on the 3 disc set The Other Boot & The Third Leg, but good luck finding that set. The main review is not far off, but less enthusiastic that it should be. Ian/Iain Matthews is in fine voice, as is Simon Nicol, the performances are inspired; Woodstock and Bird From The Mountain also need to be mentioned as high points. I cannot speak to the interview disc, but Simon and Peggy can tell a great story, so it should be entertaining as well. Four stars reflects the missing tracks and my lack of listening to the interviews. Otherwise this would get five stars. This is a serious bargain for $15.99. Buy it and be amazed that these guys are still under the radar.
