I love everything about this album and it's still my go to when I need to unwind. One of the pillars of my youth with wonderful memories

I am a huge 10,000 Maniacs fan and was lucky enough to catch them on their last tour before Natalie left the group. Just when I thought the Unplugged concert was the best I had ever seen, they ripped through the Bruce Springsteen (Patti Smith) classic, "Because the Night". Un-freaking-believable! Top to bottom, this album has no weak tracks. The live version of "Eat for Two" is haunting.

This is one of those recordings that truly stands the test of time. Only so many albums appear in a generation that really separate themselves from the pack and this falls into that category. The 6 year old in me saw how great this album was just as much as the 26 year old in me does now. If this isn't part of your collection, you should quickly fix that.

Ahhhhhh... going to bed in my freshmen dorm room with Natalie most evenings after a raucous night. Good times. Good music.
  • Stands up to the test of time.

This has to be one of the greatest live albums ever. A signature album of the early 90s when music was great.
  • A respectable live album.

This stands as a fairly good live album. Excellent instrumentals provide a different feel to songs found otherwise boring on their studio albums. I love the guitar and almost ukulele sounds in many songs. Easily their only worthy album in my estimation, some songs are just as boring usual, some are pretty good, and a few are very good.
  • Great live album

One of the best from the Unplugged series. When I want to hear Natalie Merchant this is always my first choice.

I listened to this, and it totally brought me back to my last year in college. What a great album!
