What devilry is this? What ignorant wretch told them this was okay to do? A curse on all their houses for this mockery!

Stan Bush made this version ,with money from his pocket, to hopefully get The Touch into Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. As we all know it did not happen. As a Transformers fan from 1984 to present, I think this version is awesome. I love the original too. As somewhat of a completist I added this version to my Transformers playlist. It may not be Linkin' Park, but it does bring back some of the original feel.
  • great song, but don't compare

Like others who have reviewed, I didn't like this song at first, but it grew on me. I prefer the original 80s version of The Touch, and this version cannot replace the original... but as a stand alone song, I think this remake is pretty good. I don't think we should really compare them, just enjoy it for what it is: a great song.

Get rid of the rapping clown (who looks like Adam Carolla in the music video by the way) and I might give this song five stars. Aside from that, the song is catchy. The rapping is really my only real beef with the song and is a little embarassing to listen to. But aside from that, it's decent and I'm going in between on this one.
  • SO much better without the video

While CreepySmileyGuitarGuy and RapperGuy pretty much made AND broke the song in the original video for me, the song itself isn't that bad on it's own. I still prefer the orginal by a longshot, but this version does burrow itself into my brain for hours after hearing it, and I guess that's worth a buck, haha.
  • Great Chorus

As an fan of the '80s movie, I was REALLY skeptical of this remake... especially as the rap segment rolled it. But, in the end the chorus won me over. Very catchy and moving chorus. Fans of the '80s soundtrack need to be a little more open minded – artists have to change to remain relevant (not to mention to cross-market their music, especially when trying to land a movie soundtrack deal.) Thanks to Stan for coming through for fans with an updated theme - not to mention the Rock Band version of the classic song. It's nice to see artists listening to the fans and giving nods like this.

Didn't like it at first, but dammit it grew on me! I love this version as a companion to the original! Both rock!
