Reviews

  • i'd give it five stars, but they're ultimately a band too good to be perfect.

i have never known another band to write such consistently insistently philosophically rich songs-- relentlessly imperfect songs. time and time again the best questions are raised: what does it mean to be meaningfully alive? who are we, and how should we live? what's under the surface of things? how do we keep going, and why do we? who are we to each other? and it sounds like those questions ought to sound: so beautiful sometimes, and sometimes a raw red blistering mess.
