From the Kingston Trio to this album, he is one of the best. I have never tired of his singing. By far my favorite album. Bought it when came out and still listen to it. I guess that make me old, bought it nearly 50 years ago.

What an absolute fantastic recording. There are many more John Stewart recordings that I hope make it to i-Tunes so that people can experience how great a songwriter he is. I am happy this one finally did. I saw Stewart live many, many years ago and his music moved me then...and still does today. What depth of feeling. What simplicity of expression. What realness of life. Stewart is a true American Songwriter! And I am grateful to hear him in my lifetime. Join me and buy this recording. You won't regret it.

Went to this with my new bride. It was unforgettable like the music. The Last Campaign is about when he and Buffy Ford worked on the Bobby Kennedy campaign in 1969. I still have the vinyl album but am glad to see this here. This is one of best concert albums recorded.
- Great memories...

I'd forgotten these songs - incredible memories of my high school/college years. All the yearning and hope of those days is captured perfectly by Stewart.

Finally, John Stewart's best music is on iTunes! The Phoenix Concerts is, in my opinion, the best live concert album in existence. Being a longtime Stewart fan, I never get tired of listening to it. His music is timeless--it doesn't sound dated, which, to me is a definitive measurement of quality. A pioneer of Americana music, John Stewart truly captured the heartbeat of America in his poignant lyrics, unforgettable voice, and of course his way with a guitar. There is not a bad song on the album, and his humor and rapport with the audience shines. If I had to pick favorites, it would be Roll Away the Stone, July, You're a Woman, Little Road and a Stone to Roll, Kansas, and California Bloodlines. There is passion in his music which speaks to me like no other. At last, he may now get the recognition he deserves as one of America's best singer-songwriters.
