This is the show that turned me, I just picked it randomly and loved it immediately, the jams in the second set are outstanding, but I just love the song selection of the shorter more vocal centric songs in the first set so much, Mama Tried> Me and my Uncle is perfect

Does anyone know where sugaree, scarlet and gdtrfb are from? Because they sure aren’t from this show.

I first heard this concert listening to GD Radio on the web. If you haven't checked out GD Radio you should. They are always playing outstanding stuff and run on donations. Anyway, this jam blew me away. I filed the date 4/30/77 in the back of my memory. Yesterday I decided to spend the $ 15 (not much different than springing for a ticket) and it blew me away in the car. I am not knowledgable enough to rank all their concerts. I tend to like all their 77 stuff. Today I listened to this and also the 5-28-77 Hartford show. They were on a tear that month. For me the highlight is the sequence that begins with the ultra funky and trippy "Fire on the Mountain". It sounded good playing through the bluetooth on my car. Well worth the coin.

I was at this series of shows. Don't remember much other than I had a blast. Now I could listen to it and know it was a great show

Great Estimated Prophet. Sounds good and you get a lot of classic Dead for a great price. This is my favorite Dead era, and anyone listening to this concert from start to finish will see why 1977 is the high water point of the Dead's career. Dick's Pick #3 from '77 is awesome as well, but Barton Hall (5-8-77) is the best of all. Enjoy!

This is a fantastic recording of perhaps one of the greatest shows. Vocals are still tight, and the music is flawless! if you are a Dead fan, you owe it to yourself to get this show.
