I thought I'd dedicate this poem to the gone, but never forgotten, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. Life, like a cloud Rises from tree and sea Life, like a stream Rains from the cloud Life, like a river Collects from the stream Life, like the ocean Gathers from the river Over and underground Life, in an endless cycle Goes on round and round. RIP Left Eye!

This was an amazing album and loved how you included Left Eye's voice in some songs to show people that Left Eye lives on even if she died

3D is TLC's latest record and will probably be their last since T-Boz and Chilli refuse to replace Left Eye before continuing to produce more albums. Anyway, it's a decent album and has good songs, like "Girl Talk", "Turntable", "Damaged" and "In Your Arms Tonight". It achieved moderate success upon its release and although it didn't live up to the success that CrazySexyCool and FanMail achieved, it's still a really good album.

With the extremely untimely and very tragic of Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, a key member the awesome trip known as TLC, one would understand this likely would've largely impacted the future of the remaining two members musical journeys. The remaining duo scrambled what remaining works of Left Eye's suitably fit the rest of the album, and what for what material was unable to include Left Eye was entirely comprised only of the two's own vocals. Aside from a understandable lack of Left Eye, with her spunk that unexplainably had fit perfectly in and even completed the groups songs, this album standing in it's own merits rank above that of numerous releases of other artists that have done quite well commercially, and even critically. Just that fans took time to adjust to hearing TLC without much of its 'L'. It's not to say this album had flopped, or even failed to produce a quality experience. The record was a good one. But commercially it couldn't match up with 'CrazySexyCool', 'FanMail', nor 'Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip'. The album did however manage to sell 1 million copies domestically, and 2 million worldwide in its first year. The album included the #28 hit 'Girl Talk', #107 hit Hands Up, #53 hit Damaged, and uncharted single Turnable thus failing to produce a top 10 hit as all the previous released by the group had successfully produced numerous of. Despite lackluster performance in comparison to the groups earlier successes I still do invite you to enjoy this marvelous underrated release by one of the best female groups of all time. While one can't be expected to ignore the near absence of Left Eye, I'd recommend listening to this album on its own merits. There was more than just an 'L' in TLC. Enjoy the distinct and pleasingly raspy voice of 'T-Boz', the talented familiar voice of 'Chilli', what of Left Eye was included in this release, and the prior two afore mentioned ones' (and to a lesser extent the latter one's) talents in lyrical writing. Give this album a chance, I promise you shouldn't be disappointed.

Left eys's early passing could have been highly detrimental to TLC's finaly album, but rather then fall back on their grief, the remaing girls put on a strong face and continued with the show, and what an amazing show! 3D is tateful in its inclusion of Left Eye's vocals while at the same time true to the group's style and sound. In the end 3D is a graceful and fullfilling final bow for TLC. Where it could have been easy to make it a sad album, it is full of energy and positive energy. A great way to remember not just Left Eye, but TLC as a whole.
