Fantastic! This was the first ever solo offering from Steve Hunter and it stands the test of time. Next came 'The Deacon' (wish that would be re issued too) then more recently 'Hymns For Guitar' and 'Short Stories'. His musical history is like a who's who of quality music and the man just gets better!
  • If you play guitar and down own this album..your an idiot.

As a kid, I had this on vinyl and played it to my astonished friend ("who is this guy?" they'd say). Steve Hunter was/is a genius guitar player, unsung hero to be sure. Some of these may sound a bit dated but if nothing else, buy 8-M-High. It's a revelation given it's time. The drums are thunderous, the bass equally so...the guitar is Steve's Roy Buchannon-esque blues on steroids speed. Try just that song if nothing else.
