Heaven and Hell

This to me has to be Vangelis' best work. All that he has done prior to Heaven and Hell, honed his skills and talent for his instrument of choice to produce a fantastic piece of work. It is not always easy to tell which side of Heven or Hell a particular movement in this work may lie. Some movements seems so clear as to what they represent, until you listen, again. A warning how ever, this work is not for the religious faint of spirit! He is not afraid to take the listener musically towards either end of the two realms in question.Vangelis explores with depth the feelings and struggles of mayby himself as well as anyone who has been and or is still on a spritual quest. I will not asign for him where he stands in his religious conviction nor will I impose on you, the reader and listener my position. But I ask that you listen with an open heart, spirit and mine to the reflections Vangelis pours into his musical expression the feelings we all face at some point in our lives, whether it is earlier on or later, as to what it is we feel about Heven and Hell!
