The blues inspired record has been the blueprint for artist like Adele and Amy Winehouse. The soulful tunes are catchy, but sometimes the record lacks true diversity between songs.

This cd is pure white female soul from the best white singer I have ever heard. No wonder every female singer in the last 30 years say she influenced them.

From the opening note to the fantastic finish, DustySpringfield's pure, sweet voice envelopes the collection of songs. A varied lineup of tunes featuring the hit "Son Of A Preacher Man" to the torch songs, Memphis soul and rockers, Dusty delivers. My favorite track is "Don't Forget About Me", but everything on this record is fantastic. The arrangements, song selection, session musicians and Dusty's clear, sweet and pure voice make this a winner. Although I've read that this was a less than success when issued, I knew a lot of people who bought it. None of them were sorry.

I bought this record knowing nothing about Dusty. Now it is one of my favorite albums. The production, her voice, and the overall feeling of the album just make you melt away.

A classic album that just keeps getting better. Arguably Dusty's best, this album deserves a place in any collection. Never gets old.
