The album that introduced Erasure to the world, with four UK hit singles (Sometimes #2, Victim of Love #7, The Circus #6, and It Doesn't Have to Be, #12), plus the amazing album tracks "Hideaway" and "Leave Me to Bleed." "Sometimes" and "Victim" were both US dance smashes (#5 and #1 Billboard dance) and paved the way for their American breakthrough "The Innocents" the next year. This is a great pop album

Amazing album - Vince clarke and Andy Bell at their best. Hideaway is a beautiful track about the struggles of growing up gay.
