The riff on Sign of the Trident is soo freaking brutal I made it my ringtone. The drumming is better than albums past and the lyrics are still pure norwegian black metal. When I play The Wolfpack in my car, everytime half way thru the song I crank it all the way up cuz it just fills me with energy.

I remember hearing these guys years ago and thought that they were really good then but I also thought that they were getting washed away in the already very crowded black metal scene. Low and behold, I was gratefully wrong. These guys are in a league of their own with the last two releases and deserve to be heard by all metalheads regardless of genre favor. This album is one of the best metal releases of the year and should put Satyricon on the map along with the greatest in the world today...

I think this album it's good, I love Satyricon, but I prefer the album Now Diabolical.... but still good, I just expect more aggressive song.

Such an awesome album, just took over Now, Diabolical as my favorite album. Must own! Favorite song is Commando and Black crow on a tombstone.

It seems everyone is praising this and that tells me two things either people never herd the older material or don't know real black metal if it smacked em in the face. I am not that impressed, it is better then "Volcano" which was an abomination but that's not saying much. Sorry no one is going to convince me that stuff like this is better then their first three albums no way!!!

Not quite as good as say Dark Medeival times, but still a good album none the less. Prime cuts include The Wolftpack, Black Crow on a Tombestone, and Die By My Hand.

Unbelievable guitar tone! Their tone is to die for, the songwriting is excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the record is mesmorizing. I love this album!
