There is a very devoted fan base for NOLA, and it is well deserved. The band is composed of the titans of the New Orleans metal scene. This album needs to be recognized as the masterpiece that it is

This is a metal classic album this sounds nothing like Pantera. Rehab, lifer, bury me in smoke are probably my favorites but the whole album kills

Sounds just as good as it did 25 years ago. Do yourself a favor and buy this album.

One of the most melodic and genuine metal albums made, in my book. A collaboration of diverse heavy metal musicians that seriously delivered on this one. Every time I strap my snowboard on, I escape with this album.

How could Phil Anselmo be putting out amazing albums with two bands at one time ? I really don't know but he did in 1995 with his side project DOWN. It's almost as if they just set up shop in a studio and jammed out and something brilliant came from it. It's just southern hard rock with Phil singing melody on it mixed with the occasional scream he is known for. A true classic. One of the best metal albums ever.

Great heavy music with heavy lyrics and vocals, loved from day 1.

at 58 years old, I listen to all kinds of music, rock, metal, blues, country and even jazz. If I was to be given a choice to chose only one out of the thousands of recordings I possess to hang on to it would be this one. This recording just moves my soul, every single track for the past 11 years. Amazing art, and Iโ€™m not even a hard core metal fan.

You rock, but you owe everything to pentagram.
