If you’ve never ever listened to them, you don’t know what you’re missing, and if you don’t find out with SWELL, it will truly be a mistake on your behalf. This five-piece Los Angeles band is truly brilliant and amazing, and their music deserves to be enjoyed by all.
  • SWELL is Without Filler!!!

I admit that I jumped on the Hollywood Drunks-wagon a little late but I'm glad I climbed aboard. I really appreciate albums without filler. "SWELL" is just that, strong all the way through. Hollywood Drunks aren't trying to hard to be different--they're just playing good old rock and roll for music's sake!
  • The Simplicity is, Oddly Enough, Just Amazing!

I would say the most impressive aspect of this album, besides it being an incredibly fun listen, is how well crafted the songs are. Hollywood Drunks play fairly simple parts, but they fit together in such a way and change often enough that it doesn't get old or stale. The simplicity of this album is, oddly enough, just amazing!
  • Something Completely Different!!!

This is the music I've been waiting for. The only "hype" I received was a recommendation from a friend. Don't let the current trend in indie rock bands fool you, The Hollywood Drunks are completely different than anything else you've ever heard. They're exciting, they're retro-modern, they're just plain great!
  • Sesame Street rocks!

Downloaded "Sesame Street" first. It's an awesome version. I then checked out the rest of "Swell" and bought the whole thing. The Hollywood Drunks really funk and rock stuff up. Not to mention that their lyrical themes really speak the truth especially about aging and love.

Love the song "That Age". It deal with getting older no matter what age. Dig the other cuts on the album as well. The Hollywood Drunks really know how to rock and funk it out as well as speaking the truth about life.

One of my favorite albums. Every track has its own unique musical stamp. You'll never get bored because there are so many different styles of music from alternative to reggae to pop. The humorous yet touching lyrics explore everything from growing old to having kids.

Swell is great album from top to bottom. The Hollywood Drunks aka Winzenried bring the mix of rock, funk, and pop music to a new level. It's a second coming of age album for adults and young adults but in a funny original way. Way to go Drunks!!
