    Chokecherry’s sound is a unique fusion of Americana, punk, and country music. Their bright sound and often dark lyrics create an energy that permeates the entire album. Songs like “Teargas and Whiskey” and “Work Will Never Set You Free” show real songwriting talent, while tracks like “Moon Is On the River” and “Goodbye Wide Open Spaces” reveal moments of tenderness and vulnerability. Chokecherry’s first record is definitely an impressive debut.
