An impressive second single from the American Idol winner. I wasn't hugely enamoured with his first single, despite having been a big fan of DC throughout the show, but this is more of a return to his genre. With a haunting intro and climactic chorus this shows a lot of promise for the new album. The song's emotional and passionate, in true DC style, and perfectly suited to his vocal range. The reprieve before the final chorus may be somewhat predicatable, but suits the song. The only problem is actually the lack of 'verse' - the chorus is solid, but can be quite repetetive if you hear the song too often. It's a small complaint though, and easily avoided as a problem if you make sure it's part of a relatively long playlist. All in all it's a very good purchase, fingers crossed for what comes next!

I love it, this is what I wanted to hear from him for his first album. It seems like for some of the American Idol winners the first albums was a flop, but not in this case. If the rest of the album is as good as the first release than he has nothing to worry about.
