I'm 25 and have had the pleasure of seeing him in Sacramento, San francisco, and Iowa and I am starting to get withdrawls because it's been about a year. He sounds awesome on the cd's but no joke, he sounds 100 times better live...I have yet to bring a friend/girlfriend to his concerts that haven't fallen in love with his music...great music that has an almost spiritual effect when you realize the gifts this guy has been given...pure crazyness...definetlyba must buy along with every other cd he has made, seriously

I don't know who writes iTunes reviews but proclaiming that Sexton is "hitting his stride as a performer" is like saying that U2 is starting to get a following. Martin Sexton is and HAS BEEN the best solo live performer around for many years. Anyone who has seen him can attest to the fact that, all things considered, he may be the most talented live performer EVER. This CD will give you an idea of what he can do, but if you haven't seen him live, put it on your bucket list.

I just wanted to write because I saw someone else's comment that he was the BEST LIVE SHOW they had ever seen and I wanted to say... I feel the same way! Just a man, his guitar and his tremendous voice, so beautiful and effortless, it was AMAZING!!! By far the best show I've ever seen, and I've been to a lot!! What a performer, such respect for the man. LOVE YOU MARTIN SEXTON!!!
- I saw his Solo show in SLC

Marin Sexton, alone on stage, was the BEST concert I have ever seen. I know it sounds like blasphemy, but Sextons version of Purple Rain comes off better the Prince's.
- He can't be beat!

Martin Sexton just can't make a bad album. I've seen him so many times live, and he is the most talented artist in music. My wife and I can't get enough of him. Great album!

Martin Sexton's latest live album is more subdued and intimate than Live Wide Open. There are far fewer vocal and instrumental pyrotechnics this time around. It almost feels like Martin is sitting on an empty stage singing for himself at times. But the effect is terrific as always. The covers of Purple Rain, With A Little Help From My Friends, and Hard Times are especially welcome. They've been mainstays of Martin's live performances for a long time. Highly recommended.
- Martin is the real deal...

I've seen him in concert now in NYC, Milwaukee, and LA. Each time, he offers a fresh approach to his tunes. I own each of his live recordings, and I'm so happy to play them on a regular rotation. He simply rocks. Music pours out of the fella, and I'm so happy he has chosen to share it with us.
- The Whole Package....

Martin is the whole package. Rarely do we have the opportunity to experience artists (of any genre) that write, sing, play their instrument, perform and deliver overall quality year after year. The artists Martin covers on this album (Billy Preston, The Beatles, Prince) along with others like John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Sir Elton all possess this same quality. My respect for Martin's work is only bolstered by this offering, showing Marty at his best. Enjoy!!
- he's so sexy
