Thank you to those who screwed with Rachael. If it weren't for them, we would not have had "Happenstance", her previous, or this dual disc album. The tunes on the first disc (tracks 1-9), are perfect for quiet nights for when you reminisce about the one you lost but she picks up steam at the tail end and finishes the album strong with a more density and momentum in her sound. Rachael and Ray LaMontagne share a beautiful and delicate song rightfully called "duet" that is worth a preview but seem to echo sounds a la the Swell Season (the folks from the film "Once"). Thanks itunes peeps for including the hidden track.

This is what emotion sounds like. The track "Elephants" poetically describes a loss with a stunning attention to detail. The album continues in it's raw portrayl of a girl's emotions that is sure to capture the listener. Check this out.
