Amanda Palmer is an outstanding singer/songwriter/pianist. The songs on WKAP are so different from her work with the dresden dolls (I have all 4 albums from the Dolls and now Amandas Solo album).. she has become a more mature artist in my opinion... Her piano skills are amazing, how she controls the pitch of her voice is outstanding (high-Low). And the best thing about her is that she is so unique. there is Definately no other artist on the market today who sounds like her or has her writing abilities. Overall this is a wonderful album with deep lyrics and catchy tunes... this is a must buy!!!! I am looking forward to more solo albums from Amanda Palmer! :)

This album is more serious than her previous works from the Dresdon Dolls (with the exception of "Oasis"), but it still produces the moody, somewhat profound lyrics I expected. Amanda is a true artist in the sense that I haven't found another artist who duplicates her musical talent. As a side note, her music was picked for Margaret Cho's Beautiful comedy tour, which was AWESOME. I hope she continues to give us albums, as I am a faithful fan!

i love her voice because its different from the stuff you hear on the radio, and i think we all need something new. truthfully the only song i bought was oasis. this song was catchy and playful, and i would like to hear her make more songs like that

I have been a fan of the dresden dolls for a while. I think the use of an orchestra helps demonstrate Amanda's power. Her sad songs are healing.

not the best singer ever, and not the best songwriter ever, but after listening to her many times over and over again, i have started to get used to the sound, and i think songs like oasis and runs in the family are really pretty good and catchy. some of the lyrics i did not respond that favorably to either, but overall i give this 4 stars.
