I'm royally angry it took me 10 years to find this band, what the heck!! Better late than never I guess. When I heard one of their songs, I first thought it was some old Courtney Love song, and thought "Wow, she sounds pretty good!". I guess I should have known it was someone else. I love the vocals, I love the lyrics. Just about every song on this album is a favorite for me.

This band should have gone on forever. I can't imagine a better combination of songs, power and attitude. Even with Kurt's help Courtney never came this close to perfection. R.I.P. Distillers!

I've heard a lot of mixed emotions about this album from the die hard fans that have been with the Distillers since Brody's last name was still Armstrong to the people who got into them just because Drain the Blood got some radio play. I'm here to tell you that this is my favorite Distillers album to date and I love everything the Distillers have done. Including the latest Valium Knights by Spinnerette (in case you were wondering where Brody and Tony went to). I will say that yes this album is more polished then they're previous two efforts, but could in no way be construde as pop-punk and the very idea of comparing them to Avril Lavigne is sacrilegious. However, I do understand the comparison between Courtney Love and Brody Dalle. Brody herself has stated that Courtney was a huge influence on her and even layed down some guitar tracks on America's Sweetheart. At any rate, this is a flawless album from beginning to end. I especially love For Tonight You're Only Here to Know. Other, great tracks include Dismantle Me, The Gallow is God, Hall of Mirrors and Love is Paranoid. The bottom line is if you like punk at all you should pick this up and you just might learn a thing or two.
