This is an excellent 80s throwback song, in its original German. "99 red balloons" is another example, originally released in German. If you want to hear the pale English remake, listen to the After The Fall version. And it's "Sprechen Sie English" ob Sie ein Befehl geben möchten, verückte Idiot!

To answer question below, it was After The Fire version you remember on the radio. I was a DJ at the time when released. iTunes, please release English version of this song and video!

I have seen it referred to as the "Salieri Mix." The only place I know to find it is on an 80s compilation called "More Pure 80s." You can find it for sale in physical form, online. I bought the disc and ripped the song to computer. This is the version I remember listening to on the radio -- I really liked the history lesson and the doo wop ladies in the background. I would not have liked the austrian version. That question answered, now somebody tell me, was it Falco or After the Fire that performed the Der Komissar that I liked back then.
