This music has a dark but surreal, almost dreamlike quality to it. The singing and instruments are effortlessly intertwined into a very soothing rythm that is both catchy and relaxing, and many of the lyrics, while seemingly random or out of place, make you think. These songs also, at least for me, call to mind images of distant, wild places or hidden aspects of the mind, which only add to the enjoyment I get from this album. I highly, highly reccomend it.

They have a new type of music not normally heard in the U.S. and they're so different! you dont hear many like them, nice beat, and odd and compelling backround. and the songs themselves are great! id say its a must buy.

I found this band exploring iTunes during some down time. This album really helps calm things down and is great for sitting back, relaxing, and reflecting. I highly recomend this album.

After purchasing over 600 iTunes songs this is the FIRST time I was moved to submit a review. I "got" Jealous Enemies" free single and liked it so I sampled all of the songs on Miracle Kicker (album). Fantastic album. The "Free single of the week" idea really works for me . . . allows in depth listening to otherwise unknown artists (unknown to me at least). Thanks iTunes and Thanks Dark Captain Light Captain. I also like Chris Whitley, Yo Yo Ma, Dylan, Radiohead, and many of the sitar artists. Bill

Where Simon & Garfunkel meet the Cinematic Orchestra, you'll find this album. It's a delightful mix of earthy beats and lilting melodies with a worldly sensibility. I was entranced from the first minute. It doesn't hurt that at this price, you can't possibly go wrong.

Great mellow album. If you like this you should check out Iron and Wine and/or Fleet Foxes!
