Hubert Tubbs - lead vocals Bruce Conte - guitar, vocals-co. lead on "Sparkling In The Sand" Chester Thompson - organ, keyboards, vocals Francis "Rocco" Prestia - bass David Garibaldi - drums Lenny Pickett - 1st tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, flute? Emilio Castillo - 2nd tenor saxophone, vocals Stephen "Doc" Kupka - baritone saxophone Mic Gillette - trumpet, trombone, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpet, bass trombone, vocals Greg Adams - trumpet, flugelhorn Had this in vinyl, have it on CD and ripped to MP3. Their absolute best line up. IMO Hubert Tubbs is funkier than Lenny Williams. There are no words to describe the horns, rythm section and vocals on this one. Take about a half hour(if you've got it) and dig "Knock Yourself Out". This is the ultimate TOP band.

WHEN is I tunes gonna fix this. If you never heard the original album, you might not know what your missing, but you are missing it. Get the right recordings, it been several years, with all the money Apple makes, why is it still wrong?

"Sparkling in the Sand" and "Knock Yourself Out" are now here in the original live versions. As for the cuts overall, the tempo is fast but these guys are great. They have chops that will win you over even if r & b ain't your thang. Hubert isn't Lenny, but he's a damn fine Hubert, more reminicent of Rick Stevens. The girls screaming on "Young Man" give it a feel the studio version can't. Great solos on "Sparkling." Bruce's voice is a nice contrast to Hubert. "KYO" is rambling; Chester's ARP Strings and Funky Chicken clavinet were cheesy back in the day, but I still eat it up today. Too bad they didn't have those sonic bass speakers for his organ back then. If you are new to TOP, I would suggest some of their earlier studio stuff. But if you already have it, like me, and need a little bump, this will take you there.

One of my favorite live tracks, the missing "Knock Yourself Out" includes an extended Lenny Pickett tenor solo that is one of his finest recorded performances. While the live "Still a Young Man" and "What is Hip" are wonderful, this EP is not worth the money without the live "Knock...". The folks at iTunes should consider refunding those who mistakenly purchased the entire album or the track.

Thank you to those that wrote reviews after buying this album. I have the origional on vinal and have played it so many times you can see through it when you hold it up to the light! I have a strong feeling I would be extreemly diappointed if I shelled out my money and did not get what I was expecting, So thank you all!

Two of the songs here are NOT the versions from the original live album."Sparkling in the Sand" and Knock Yourself Out are taken from the East Bay Grease album. I would have accepted an edited version of Knock Yourself Out considering it's over 20 minutes long. Any way Itunes can credit me for two songs?

While some of the tunes here are from the original classic, Knock Yourself Out is clearly not the version all of us know and love from the album. Did anyone from I-tunes check this? The notes refer to the 23-minute version of the tune (the standout track and the entire second side of the LP) which is NOT the one offered here (hello/ it tracks at only slightly over seven minutes). Wise up, I-tunes!
