You may not like the album at first (me), but after a few good listens the album really grows on you. It's a great listen and a great deal. It has a lot of great tracks that will stay in your head for days! Me and my dad really got into this album after quite a few listens. It shows the most raw and southern version of the greatest southern rock band Black Oak Arkansas. My favorite songs are Hold Me Down, Veiux Carre, Flying Horse Of Louisiana, Black Blues, and My Brothers and Me.

This is an early offering from a band to later be named "Black Oak Arkansas" after they moved from Arkansas to New Orleans, They were a prototype of the style that became synonymous with southern rock, duelling guitars and swagger. My particular favorite cut is Flying Horse of Louisiana, a dreamy intro and fadeout with some of Jim Mangrum's best gravel-voiced work and the tight bandwork in between, check it out.
