I would buy this album soley for "You Enjoy Myself" and the third disc which has Les Claypool put Mike Gordon to shame during "Suzy Greenberg". It also has money versions of "Mike's Song", "Harry Hood", "Wilson", and "Weekapaug Groove".

This show was the tour-ender for the Fall '96 tour. Anyhoo, this show has (had) it all. An uber-strong first set, weighed down by such heavy hitters as 2001 (the longest-running 2001 to-date then), YEM with a great donuts-donuts-donuts vocal jam (Fishman likes blueberry donuts), and only the 2nd Peaches in a looooong time. The second set is absolutely whamola- Mike's>Simple>Hood>Wekkapug is almost a solid hour, with the Weekapug featuring some vicious start-stop jamming. I thought that Sweet Adeline would be the end of the set, but then BAM! GTBT outta nowhere. And then there's the encore. All the way to Vegas everyone in the car with me had to suffer through my repeated proclamations of "You're without a doubt gonna hear 'Suspicious Minds' and 'Suzy'". A little Elvis in Vegas is a given, and Suzy is, indeed, about as faithful as a slot machine! Les, Larry and multi-Elvii, a couple of yodelers, and Fishman do their part to help little Jimmy and poor 'ol Posternutbag make it all the way to Vegas- and what a reward they receive! Highly reccommended listening!

sick show. just sick. the 1st set i mean what can get better than 2001, llama, yem, ctb, dwd, and frankenstein? and then the second set is not to be missed, with a tight julius and then a silly sparkle... then starting an epic trail of mikes>simple>harry>weekapaug and ending it off with gt's, bt's. AND THAT ENCORE! geeeezz come on you got les claypool and larry lalonde from primus on there, and several elvis impersonators, plus other special guests, making it the first of several appearanes at vegas gone wacky. les has a little bass solo during one of the songs and he sings wildwood weed. do NOT miss this show.
  • Nicely Done, Caribou Jed! :)
