I’ve been listening to Neil Young since the 60’s and this is a great CD. I am assuming that the artists like Neil’s song they way they’re singing them and that’s okay by me. I was looking for this kind Neil Young today and this was really a pleasant find. Why is everybody slamming this CD. If you like the way he does it better, listen to him. It’s not brain surgery.
- A rare gem!

It's so rare to find a tribute CD that's works on all levels. This one does. Not only is the concept smart but the song choices and production are excellent. Nice job!

My sister gifted this for me tonight and I cannot stop listening. I've always liked Neil Young but I was never a huge fan like my older brothers and sister. After listening to these beautiful interpretations... I now have a new appreciation for his work. For some reason hearing women artists sing his words... it clicks. This is a beautiful tribute and I love that it honors the strength and courage of women. Thanks sis!

This is an amazing concept for a charity album and I must say although I do not know many of the artists, they are all exceptional. Paying homage to Neil Young for such a good cause already had my vote but hearing the quality of the cover songs has me telling everyone to buy this wonderful album. Job well done indeed!
- Fantastic Tribute!

I hadn't heard of this album until iTunes posted it in the What's Hot section today. What a wonderful find. I'm a huge Neil Young fan and having women artists cover his songs puts a unique perspective of Young's songwriting. I'm blown away by some of the fantastic covers here. Heart of Gold, Only Love Can Break Your Heart, The Needle and the Damage Done, and Ohio are early favorites. Highly recommended!

It's a tribute to a fine songwriter like Neil Young that his works can be interpreted by such a diverse range of talents and still sound cool. A good song is a good song, esp. when put in talented hands like the artists on this tribute. Kudos to whoever dreamed up this project and brought it to such fine fruition. Fans of Throwing Muses, Luna and other indie stalwarts will be pleased by some familiar voices, and of course some of Neil's most beloved songs.

My wife is a breast cancer survivor. As part of her recovery, she went to a weekend retreat sponsored by this group. Good music, good cause.

- Elk City made me cry

Women can be so mean to a man…to make him cry like a little girl. To take his life's work of songs and deliver them to a whole new generation, it might make him…well…Helpless by Elk city is freaking flawless. There is no way that is an easy song to sing. I have heard some covers lately but none compare to this. It never completely copies the original but at the same time it never steers away from it either, and is almost a better recording. The spareness of the instruments accents her singing perfectly. I just can't stop listening to it.
